Landon "Door Knob" Snyder Brazzell, age 84, of Riceville, passed away Monday , Nov. 23, 2009 at his residence.
A native and lifelong resident of Riceville, TN, he was the son of the late Joseph and Pearl Freeman Brazzell. He was a member of the SouthLiberty Church of Christ and was retired from Athens Stove Works after 36 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Phillipines and was preceded in death by one sister, Vassey Geralds; three brothers, Clifford Brazzell, E.L. Brazzell, Elbert Brazzell; half-brother, Reed Bowers; Daughter-in-law, Tabitha Brazzell.
Survivors;Wife of 62 years,Roxy Sunshine Brazzell Riceville, TN., Four Sons and daughter-in-law; Van Allen Brazzell Riceville, TN., Dale Landon Brazzell Riceville, TN., Phillip David and Gloria Brazell Etowah, TN., Anthony "Tony" Eric Brazzell Riceville, TN., Sister and brother-in-law; Virginia and Marvin Worthy Etowah, TN. Four Grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service 2:00pm Wednesday at South Liberty Cemetery with the Minister Dan Guy officiating. Pallbearers will be his sons.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home.
