RUTH HANEY ISBILL, age 87 of Athens, Tenn. died Friday, December 25, 2009, in Sweetwater Nursing Center in Sweetwater, Tenn.

She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn.  A daughter of the late Joseph Martin and Amanda MelDora Curtis Haney. She was preceded in death by her husband: Barney Marion Isbill on May 30, 1999, Two Sisters: Altha Ray Haney Everett, Ermal Sue Haney McCall, and Brother: James Earl Haney.

She was a former employee of Proffitt's Dept. Store, Claudia Shoppee, and Shorty. She was a member of McMahan Calvary Baptist Church for 64 years and Athenian Chapter # 159 of O. E. S..

Survivors are as follows: Son: Jack L. Isbill of Athens, Tenn. Sister: Lillie Mae Barnett of Athens, Tenn., Two Grandchildren: Jack Lee Isbill, Jr., Leslie Paige Moore, Five Great Grandchildren: Brittany Moore, Alexandra "Alex" Moore, Killian L. Isbill, Cynthia Benzel, Caroline Moore, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Monday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home  with Rev. Randall Bates, Rev. Bob Thomas, and Rev. Gilbert Roberts officiating.

Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at McMinn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Don Barnett, Darrell Barnett, Joe Haney, Greg Moore, Jack Lee Isbill, and Mitchell Shope.

The family will recieve friends from 6-8 Monday at the funeral home
