LARRY D. McDONALD, age 70, formerly of Nashville, Tenn. went to be our Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at Baptist Hospital West in Knoxville, Tenn. due to a short battle with Luekemia.

He was born January 8, 1940 in Athens, Tenn. to the late Malcomb C. and Telia Perry McDonal. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1962 with a B.S. in Business Administration and was always an ardent UT fan. Larry loved anyting UT but especially the Lady Vols Basketball and UT football programs.

He was a longtimemember of the Nashville Big Orange Club and was also a avid traveler. He was an award winning ballroom dancer. He worked for 48 years as a computer programmer.

Survivors: Sister and Brother-in-law: Willa Dean and Horace Dunn of Athens, Tenn., Nephew: Rodney Dunn of Athens, Tenn. Two Nieces and Nehews-in-law: Sherry and Dr. Bill Bolin of Knoxville, Tenn. and Krissy and Glen Allen of Athens, Tenn. Two Grandnephews: Dustin Allen of Athens, Tenn. and Jeff Bolin and wife Kristy of Ovieda, Fla. Two Grandnieces: Holly Allen of Knoxville, Tenn. and Olivia Stelter and Justin of Franklin, Tenn.

Graveside services will be 1:00 P. M. Saturday in McMinnMemory Gardens with Dr. Jason Clark officiating.

There will be no formal visitation and family and friends will gather at the cemetery Saturday for the graveside service.
