Horace Henry Stwart, age 83 of Athens, Tenn. died Friday, October 2, 2009, at his residence.

He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn. and was a son of the late Rev. Tom and Sara Ann Robinson Stewart.

He was retired from Charleston Hosiery Mill and was a member of Woodward Ave. Church of God. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Navy.

He is preceded in death by his Wife: Ruth Angela Wilson Stewart on June 18, 1998 and Sister: Betty Carver, Two Brothers: HubertStewart and Thomas Stewart.

Survivors: Daughter and Son-in-law: Nancy and Paul Hutsell of Niota, Tenn., Three Sons and Daughter-in-law: Daryl Stewart of Athens, Tenn., Pat Stewart of Athens, Tenn. and Mike and Debbie Stewart of Athens, Tenn. Sister: Reba Presswood of Athens, Tenn.Three Grandchildren: Kim Stewart, Jonathan and wife Diane Hutsell, Clay and wife April Hutsell One Great Grandson: Jack Hutsell Two Step-Grandchildren: Wesley Grace and Beau Reynolds as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8:00 P. M. Monday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Fritts, Rev. Clifford Watters, and Rev. Paris Smith officiating.

Interment will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in Idlewild Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Hutsell, Clay Hutsell, James Sparks, David Stafford, Bill Gentry, and Jerry Stephens. Honorary Pallbearer will be Curtis Sherril.

The family will recieve friends from 6-8 Monday in the funeral home.
