Barbara Campbell, age 74 of Sweetwater, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024 at UT Medical Center. A native of New York and a resident of Sweetwater for the 39 past years, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Viola Church Moon. Barbara enjoyed puzzles, crochet, her cats, but most of all she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She worked for Wal-Mart for 20 years and loved going to church at Sweetwater First Assembly. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Campbell, Sr. (June 16, 2016), and several siblings.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Trina (Chris) Thompson of Loudon; Jennifer (Shannon) Griffis of Sweetwater, and Cathy Morgan of Sweetwater; son and daughter-in-law, Robert (Bobby). Jr. (Waynette) Campbell of Sweetwater; grandchildren, Rylan (Alison) Thompson, Raegan, Isaiah, Josiah, Ella, Elijah, Maggie, Corbin, Alex, Emersyn, Charlotte, Kira, Maia Thompson, Tony (Lindsey) Campbell and Whitney (Anthony) Bishop, Brady Griffis, Cassie Morgan, Kellie (Justin) Branham, Daniel (Hannah) Morgan, Ty, Chance, Bryce Campbell; great-grandchildren, Rote Thompson, Ashton and Izzac Campbell, Scarlett and Asher Williams, Benjermin Willett, Brady and Braylin Gonzales, Rylie, Parker, Tucker Branham, Leajane Edgemon; siblings, Connie Gabrielli, and Delbert Dewey.
Funeral services will be 7:30 pm Monday, December 2, 2024 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Andrew Templeton officiating. The graveside service will 2 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Mt Tabor Cemetery in Niota. Pallbearers will be Tony Campbell, Rylan Thompson, Raegan Thompson, Ty Campbell, Chance Campbell, Little Daniel Morgan, Brady Griffis and Isiah Thompson. The family will receive friends from 5-7:30 pm Monday before the service.
