June Brackett

June Brackett, age 90 of Athens, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023. at UT Hospital in Knoxville. A native and a lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late Cardy Morgan and Nannie Mae Harold Tilley. She was a member of Mt. Verd Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband James Garland Brackett, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors, Two daughters, Janice Renfro of Johnson City, Tennessee and Judy Brackett of Cleveland; two grandsons, Scott Tutterow, and Greg Johnson; two great-granddaughters, Lily Tutterow and Nora Tutterow; several nieces and nephews. Two sister, Joann Thomas of Sweetwater, and Essie Goforth of Englewood. Close  family friends, Pam and Larry Gibson.
Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Sunday , September 3, 2023 at McMinn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Donnie Dalton officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm before the service at the funeral home. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Verd Baptist Church.
