Blanche D. Neil, age 89 of Old Fort, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at her residence. A native of Athens, and a resident of Old Fort for the past 12 years, she was the daughter of the late Ruel and Lissie Miller Knox. She was a member of Hill Top Baptist Church. She worked for Charleston Hosiery Mill. She loved to read the Bible and listen to gospel music. She loved her family and friends deeply. She was preceded in death by husband Jim Neil May 6, 2024; three children, William Arthur Neil, Franklin Neil and Loretta Maria Neil; nine siblings.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Tricia and Michael Randolph Sr., of Cleveland, Erica Couch of Athens, Linda Neil of McDonough, Georgia; grandchildren, Tiffany Neil Massengill, Deborah Moses (Kanji Sengoku), Brandy Neil, David Gregg, Angelina M. Lankford; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Raper, Alicia Conboy, Hannah Raper and Katie Raper, Kenshiro Sengoku and Jotaro Sengoku, Braynell "Bray" Gardner and Cornell Gunter, Jr.; great-great grandchildren, Sam Brumlow and Charlie Conboy several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 6 pm Thursday, January 9, 2025 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Michael Randolph, Sr. The graveside will be 11 am Friday, January 10, 2025 at Sullins Cemetery.
