Carey Gorden Wilcox Jr.

CAREY GORDEN WILCOX, JR.,  age 59 of Decatur, Tenn. went to be with The Lord on Tuesday, July 18, 2023,  He was a son of the late Carey and Jean Russell Wilcox and preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents: Robert and Nadine Cline Wilcox and Maternal Grandparents: John Russell and Lucille Johnson. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and was an active member and served as a Deacon at Clear Springs Baptist Church. He worked for the Smith Management McDonald for 35 years. 
Survivors: Wife of 35 years: Laura Harmon Wilcox of Decatur, Tenn. Daughter and son-in-law: Stephanie and Jeremy Malone of Sweetwater, Tenn., Grandson: Connor Malone, Brother and Sister-in-law: Randy and Bo Wilcox of Abilene, Texas
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 22, 2023 in Clear Springs Baptist Church Rev. Darren Fansler officiating. Interment will follow in Clear Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 5-7 Friday, July 21, 2023. The body will lie in state from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the church.
