Carey Gordon Wilcox, Sr.

CAREY GORDON WILCOX SR,  age 78 of  Kingston, Tenn. on  Friday, December 28, 2018 Jesus called and I answered. He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn., resident of Kingston since 2010 and  a son of the late Robert Gordon and Francis Nadine Cline Wilcox. He was a former photographer for the DPA. He was a licensed pastor serving Idlewild Baptist Church and the community and a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict having served in the U. S. Air Force.
Survivors: Wife of 58 years: Johnnie Jean Russell Wilcox of Kingston, Tenn., One Daughter: Sonya O'Hara of Georgia, Two Sons and Daughters-in-law: Carey Gordon Wilcox, Jr. and Laura Wilcox of Decatur, Tenn.,, Randy Lee and Bo Wilcox of Abilene, Texas,  Seven Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Pat and Dennis Hollingsworth of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., Jane and Roger Parker of Denver, Colorado, Susan Straub of Chickamauga, Ga., Gwen and Robin Brannon of Hixson, Tenn. Kay Wilcox of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., Robin Walker of Rossville, Ga.,, Jeanette Wilcox of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga.  Three Brothers: Rodger Wilcox of Cleveland, Tenn., Bill Wilcox of Rossville, Ga., and Joe Wilcox of Ringgold, Ga., Six Grandchildren, one Great Grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
