Carol Ruth Miller

CAROL RUTH MILLER, age 72 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018, in Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens, Tenn. 

She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn., a daughter of the late William Franklin and Marjorie Ruth Sharits Branam.  She was a member of North Athens Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by:

• Husband: Clifford Elwood Miller
• Sons: Charles Elwood Miller and John Wayne Miller
• Brothers: Boyd Lee Branam, Alvin Eugene Branam and Ronnie Franklin Branam

Survivors:

• Daughter and Son-in-law:  Crystal Diana and Shawn Johnson of Athens, Tenn.
• Son and Finance:  Michael Edward Miller and Amber Simmang of Athens Tenn.
• Son and Daughter-in-law:  Jason Charles and Shanna Miller of Georgetown, Tenn.
• Sisters:  Betty Maw Knox of Riceville, TN and Mary JoAnn Womack of Athens, Tenn.
• Grandchildren:  Caden Johnson, Tanner Johnson and Dakota Butts
• Several Nieces and Nephews
• Special Friend: Eddie Eason

Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 30, 2018, in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Kerr officiating.

Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 31, 2018 in McMinn Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Shawn Johnson, Michael Miller, Jason Miller, Frankie Branam, Chris Vogus, and David Stiles.  Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, Caden Johnson, Tanner Johnson and Dakota Butts.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in the funeral home.
