Charles Pat Jaquish

CHARLES PATRICK (PAT) JAQUISH, age 75 of Athens, Tenn. passed away in his home on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024. He was born in 1948 in Athens, Tenn. to the late Charles and Leona Jones Jaquish and preceded in death by two brothers: Joe Jaquish and Mike Jaquish. In 1967 he married his high school sweetheart. In Feb. 1968. He joined the U. S. Air Force where he served twelve years. In 1973 he was selected to debrief Vietnam POWS, received a Vietnam Service Medal and received a Honorable Discharge in 1980 choosing to return to Tennessee and be near his family. He retired from The U. S. Postal Service after 18 years in 2005. 

Survivors: Wife of 57 years: Brenda Nipper Jaquish of Athens, Tenn. Two Sons and daughters-in-law: Sean Patrick (Dana) Jaquish of Athens, Tenn., Stephen Charles (Cristy) Jaquish of Lebanon, Tenn., Four Grandchildren: Chloe Ellen Jaquish, Caroline Emma Jaquish of Athens, Tenn., Brylee Marie Jaquish and Robert Charles (Bryce) Jaquish of Lebanon, Tenn, several nieces and nephews. 

A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, Sept. 12 2024, in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with James Summers and Stephen Jaquish officiating followed by Military Honors. A private family burial will be in Upper Spring Creek Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be his Nephews: Mike Allen Jaquish, Mark Jaquish, Jim Jaquish, Brad Lane, Bob McGinnis, Luke Sellers, Levi Sellers and Lincoln Sellers , and PTSD Veterans Group. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Upper Spring Creek Cemetery Fund, 174 CR 115, Athens, TN. 37303.
