CLYDE CLEVE HARRIS, age 72 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, in NHC Healthcare of Athens, Tenn. He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn., son of the late Charlie Cleveland and Mary Ethel Ashe Harris and preceded in death by a Sister Sarah Lou Hawkins and Three Brothers: Jack Edward Harris, Joe Henry Harris, and Glenn Wade Harris. He was a farmer and member of Woodward Ave. Church of God.
Survivors: Sisters: Margaret Hawkins of Cleveland, Tenn., Anna Mae Lundsford of Andrews, N.C, , Patricia and David Phillips of Alabama, Margie Elizabeth and Frank Couey of Riceville, Tenn. Lonna Harris of Athens, Tenn., and Dorothy and Frankie Sewell of Tellico, Tenn., several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 24, 2022 in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Gary King officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in McMinn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Frank Couey, Donnie Couey, Daniel Couey, Scott Cronan, and Frankie Sewell. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Tuesday in the funeral home.
