Deanna Gail Jones passed away peacefully the morning of October 12, 2024. She was born in Mount Sterling, Kentucky and as a child she and her family moved to Dayton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her Mother Hazel Willis and her father Howard Willis, her husband Gary William Buckner and Brothers, Ronald Willis and David Willis, Son Gary Buckner and Grandson, Kyle Buckner.
Deanna went to beauty school and spent over 25 years as a beautician in Dayton, Ohio. She moved to Tennessee and opened a small salon called Total Look and continued providing cuts and styles. She was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church and was baptized in the Hiwassee River. Deanna spent a great portion of time working with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #90 in Decatur, TN. Deanna had a big heart, she loved laughing and was always willing to lend a hand. She enjoyed riding horses and spending time outdoors. I remember how dearly Deanna would talk about her boys and her grandchildren with the proudest smile on her face. Deanna will be missed by many, there is no other like her. It's not goodbye but see you on the other side. Until then we cherish the good times and remember Deanna in our hearts.
Those left to cherish her memory are 3 sons, Richard Buckner, Keith Buckner and Shannon Buckner; 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Christine Willis; Sandra and Steve Finch.
