Ellen Jane Lee

Ellen Jane Lee, age 87 of Athens passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Life Care Center of Athens.

A native of Meigs County and resident of McMinn County for most of her life and was a daughter of the late Louis S. and Johnnie Mae Bradshaw Lee and was preceded in death by 8 siblings, Ruth Lee Hamilton, Laura Blanch Lee Witt, Helen Lee Pruitt, Martha Lee Turner, Joanne Lee Wallace, Jack Lee and L.S. Lee, Jr.
She was a member of Keith United Methodist Church where she
worked for many years in the nursery, was a member of the Home Service Sunday School Class, a Member of the United Methodist Women and was a member of the Mary Broyles Circle which later merged with other Circles and became the Susanna Wesley Circle.
Survivors:
1 sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Lawrence Hamrick of Hixson, TN;
Special friend, Alma Broyles;
Several nieces and nephews
Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Friday, January 14, 2022 at McMinn Memory Gardens with Rev. David Graybeal officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM-2:30 PM prior to the Graveside at the funeral home.
