Eunice Marie Patterson

Eunice Marie Edgemon Patterson, age 90, of Athens passed away Monday April 1, 2019 at her residence. A native of Sweetwater and a resident of McMinn County all of her life, she was the daughter of the late William Hugh and Ethel Fisher Edgemon. She was of the Baptist faith and was a Presidents Club Avon salesperson for 40 years. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid Lady Vols Basketball fan. She enjoyed  feeding and watching birds, working jigsaw puzzles, and bowling. She was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Patterson (Oct.11,  2018), grandson Gilbert Hamilton, son-in-law Dwight Hamilton, Sister June Irvin, Two brothers Lawrence Edgemon, and C.R. Edgemon.

Three daughters and  sons-in-law; Sharen and Mark Bracy of Joelton, TN

Eleven Grandchildren and spouses, Cody and Erika Patterson, Casey Patterson, John Hamilton, Eric Bracy, Shannon and Jeff Lewallen, Ben and Rachel Bracy, Logan and Kristen Early, Landon and Megan Early and Luke Early, Lily Patterson and Will Patterson. Four Great grandchidren, Carissa Lewallen, Carson Lewallen, Grayson  Bracy, and Annistyn Kate Early.  Several nieces and nephews. Special friends Harold and Irene Wilson of Saltville, Va.
Funeral Services will be 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 3, 2019 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Patterson officiating. The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.The graveside service will be11:00 am Thursday, April 4, 2019 at McMinn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday before the service.
