Fannie Rhea Boruff

Fannie Rhea Boruff, age 84, of Athens passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at NHC of Athens. A native of Sweetwater and a long term resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late William L.  and Lochie Jane Raper Wilkins. She was a member of Woodward Ave Church of God and she had a passion for singing gospel songs, She was a wonderful home maker and an awesome home decorater. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd  Wilkins, Junior Wilkins, Elmer Wilkins; infant sister, Mary Lou Wilkins, 
Survivors include:

• Husband of 68 years Carl Henry Boruff of Athens
• Daughters; Patsy C.and Coy Sharp of Athens; Sheila and Matthew Cook of Athens
• Sons; Dennis Boruff of Athens; Gary and Christine Boruff of Philadelphia, PA
• Grandchildren; Angela Duggan, Michael Sharp, Russell Sharp, Lauren Stansberry, David Boruff, Elizabeth Boruff
• Great grandchildren; Matthew, Andrew, Hannah, Adison, Morgan, Gracie, 
• One sister, Rosie Buckelew of Riceville
• Special caregiver, Kristy Ledbetter

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Fritts, Rev. Chris Thomas, Rev. Hershal Baker officiating. The interment will be at McMinn Memory Gardens following the service with the grandchildren serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Saturday before the service.
