FLOYD JAMES "MUTT" EATON, age 89 of Decatur, Tn. formerly of Athens, Tenn. passed Monday, August 24, 2020, in Riceville, Tn. He was a native longtime resident of McMinn County, Tenn. , a son of the late Peeler Sherman and Oma Katherine White Eaton and preceded in death by his wife: Sue Martin Eaton and Three Sisters: Lois Eaton Evans, Mae Eaton Stevens, Edith Eaton Padgett, Three Brothers: Roy Eaton, Clarence Eaton and Willie Eaton. He retired from Qualex/ Fox Photo after 40 years of service and owned Floyd Eaton Photography. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Decatur, Tenn. where he was a member of Adult Men's Sunday School Class. He was longtime member of East Athens Baptist Church before moving to Decatur, Tenn. He was a member of Senior Citizens Bowling Team and Meigs County Senior Citizens.
Survivors: Daughter and Son-law: Pat and Mark Bailey of Decatur, Tenn., Son and Daughter-in-law: Donnie and Donna Eaton of Decatur, Tenn., Two Grandchildren and spouses: Sheila and Jamey Jennings of Decatur, Tenn., Steven and Ashley Eaton of Cleveland, Tenn., Four Great Grandchildren: Ayden, Trace, Resner, and Lochlan Eaton, several step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 P.M. in McMinn Memory Gardens with Rev. Brett Boyd officiating. Friends and family may call at their convience from 11:00 A.M. - 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. . Condolences may be sent to www.laycock-hobbs.com/notices/Floyd-Eaton
