Gracie Louise Rinehart Farris, 89, of Athens, Tennessee was welcomed into the arms of her heavenly Father Tuesday, June 6, 2023. She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, and was a daughter of the late Newton Roy and Mary Ellen Carter Rinehart. She was retired from Athens Products and was a longtime member of Clear Springs Baptist Church in Athens. Louise loved and cared well for others and was a blessing and encouragement to all who knew her.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald William Farris; Three brothers: Lewis Rinehart, Taylor Rinehart, and John Rinehart and three sisters: Ola Mae Cooper, Dolly Sutherland, and Norma Blevins.
Louise is survived by son, Allen (Sheryl) Farris of Rock Spring, Georgia; Grandchildren: Nathan (Brittany) Farris and Bethany (Mitchell) Wooten of Chickamauga, Georgia. Great-grandchildren: Annie and Luke Farris.
Two brothers, Carver (Joan) Rinehart of Englewood, and Charles (Kathy) Rinehart of Cleveland, one sister: Ana Howard of Athens, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Clear Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-2 P.M. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hearth Hospice of Ringgold Team, 121 Battlefield Crossing Court, Ringgold, GA 30736.
