Helen "Dora" Turner

Helen "Dora"Turner age 93 of Riceville, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023 at her residence. A native of McMinn County and a resident of Hamilton County and Riceville for the 32 past years, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Mae Stephenson Kinzalow. Dora loved playing sports and watching the Braves. She attended UTC Basketball games, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Chattanooga of Golden Gateway. She also loved gardening. She moved back from Chattanooga to Riceville and redid a log cabin which she and Hubert have lived in for 35 years. She was preceded in death by 6 siblings.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years Hubert Turner, Jr of Riceville; one daughter, Valerie Gray (Mickey) of  Chattanooga; one son, Mickey Turner (Leslie) of Dayton, TN; two granddaughters, Michelle Turner and Ana Gray; nine nieces and seven nephews.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Upper Spring Creek Cemetery. There will be no visitation as she requested. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to; Spring Creek Cemetery Fund 1374 Railroad St. Dayton, TN 37321, and Hospice of Chattanooga. A reception will follow after the graveside service at the Spring Creek Church of Christ reception hall.
