Howard Leon Crain

HOWARD LEON CRAIN, age 59 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Tennova at Turkey Creek in Knoxville, Tenn. He was a native of Belle Glade, Fla, lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn., and preceded in death by his father: Horace Talley.  He was a carpenter and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church of Decatur. He was an avid guitar player and loved singing.
Survivors: Wife of 42 years: Debbie Lee Shelton Crain of Athens, Tenn., Two Sons and daughter-in-law: Jonathan and Tiffiny Crain of Athens, Tenn., William Crain and Fiance Jillian Dixon of Athens, Tenn., Daughter and son-in-law: Branndy and Joseph Lenker of Athens, Tenn., Nine Grandchildren; Jocelyn, Jaylee, Callie, and Brantley Crain, Kanen Miller, Korbin, and Colt Henderson and Taylor, and Kegan Lenker. Mother: Zora Swafford of Athens, Tenn., Two Brothers and sister-in-law: David and Norreen Talley of Ten Mile, Tenn., Dale White of Athens, Tenn., Sister: Amanda Hysinger of Athens, Tenn., several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Walden officiating. Interment will follow in Crain Family Cemetery.   Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Morgan, Joseph Lenker, James Brown, Conway Brown, Korbin Henderson and Nathan Talley. The family will recieve friends from 5-7 Wednesday in the funeral home.
