Howard Clyde Ratledge

HOWARD CLYDE RATLEDGE, age 86 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2022 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn., a son of the late James and Azlee Ghourley Ratledge and preceded in death by his wife: Peggy Alverine Ratledge, Sisters: Louie Arnwine, Grove Odum, and Gladys Ratledge, Brothers: Jim Ratledge, Dick Ratledge, and Frank Ratledge. He was a farmer working for Mayfield's, and was a former employee of Athens Bed Co. and retired from Athens Woodcrafters. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Tellico Ave. Baptist Church. He was a member of the National Guard.
Survivors: Two Daughters and sons-in-law: Elaine and Herb  Keylon  of Dayton, Tenn., Carol and David Johnson of Athens, Tenn., Brother: William "Tootsie" Ratledge of Athens, Tenn., Two Grandsons: Michael Crutchfied and Caleb Johnson,  Great Grandson: Skyler Crutchfield, Great Great Grandson: Lane Crutchfield, Special Friend: Nancy McMutery,  several nieces and nephews. 

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 10, 2022 in McMinn Memory Gardens with  Rev. Keith Wilcox officiating. The family  will receive friends from 5-7 Friday, December 9, 2022 in the funeral home.
