Iona Roussell Swafford

IONA ROUSSELL SWAFFORD, age 76 of Calhoun, Tenn. passed away Friday, July 26, 2019, at Tennova of Cleveland. She was a native of  Bogalusa, La., resident of McMinn County, Tenn. most of her life and was a daughter of the late Lawrence (Bun) and Hilda Roussell, and preceded in death by Brother: Lawrence Roussell Jr., and Nephew Donnie Guthrie. Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was very active in the community with fund raisers, etc. She loved her family, making quilts and hair bows. 
Survivors: Husband: of 58 years: Don Swafford of Calhoun, Tenn., Two  Daughters: Christy Swafford of Calhoun, Tenn., Lana McKinney and partner: Blake Bivens, of Calhoun, Tenn.  Two Sons and daughter-in-law: Joe and Kristi Swafford of Calhoun, Tenn. David Swafford of Calhoun, Tenn.  Three Grandsons: Scott Swafford, Brian Swafford, Landon McKinney, Granddaughter: Kaitlyn McKinney. Sister and Brother-in-law: Mary and Don Guthrie of Calhoun, Tenn., several nieces,  nephews, and great nieces and nephews.. 
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Monday, July 29, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Deacon Zach Griffith officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Calhoun Cemetery with Father John Orr officiating. The family will recieve friends from 4-7 Monday in the church.
