JAMES WILLIS "COOTER" HARDIN, age 57 of Calhoun, Tenn. passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 29, 2022 at his home in Lamontville, Tenn., He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn., a son of the late Joseph "Joe" and Alice Hardin and was preceded in death by his brother: Gary Hardin. When he wasn't working at AutoZone, you could find him on the creekbank. He was an avid fisherman and was proud to show anyone a picture of his latest catch. He participated in countless fishing tournaments and loved working on cars. He shared his love of fishing and cars with his boys. He loved watching Nascar and the Braves.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Jeremy Hardin and wife Heather of Calhoun, Tn., and his pride and joy Zebulen "Zeb" Hardin of Etowah, Tenn. as well as many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Guffey officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Monday in Bethel Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Justin Evans, Casey Hudson, Randy Bowman, Matt Wiley, Garry Cross, and Slade Moats. The family will recieve friends from 5-7 Sunday in the funeral home.
