Joyce Geneva Hicks

JOYCE GENEVA BILLINGS HICKS,  age 95 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Wednesday, May17, 2023, at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, a daughter of the late Amos Walter and Iva Webb Billings and preceded in death by her Husband: Ira Jefferson Hicks, and Three Brothers:   Paul Billings, Wade Billings, Floy Billings and Son-in-law: Claude (Sandy) Weeks. She was a former employee of Niota Hosiery Mill , Woolworth's and  retired from Elmore's. She attended Central Baptist Church. The family would like to thank  Hearth Hospice and everyone at Starr Regional Hospital of Athens for their love and care of Joyce.
Survivors: Three Daughters and Sons-in-law: Donna and Ronnie Goddard of Maryville, Tenn., Norma Hicks  and Jerry Hall of Maryville, Tenn., Karen Weeks  of Vonore, Tenn., Sister-in-law: Bobbie Billings of Athens, Tenn., Brother-in-law: Tommy (Libby)   Hicks of Cleveland, Tenn.,  Five Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren, One Great Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. 
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 19, 2023 in McMinn Memory Gardens with Rev. Marty Goddard officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
