Judith Watson Galyon

Judith Watson Galyon age 79 of Athens passed away Sunday, Aug 14, 2022.  She was a member of McMahan Calvary Baptist Church for over 50 years and was active in the Joy Goup and the Hazel Gutrie Sunday School Class.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Daryl Galyon, her father R.L. Watson, Mother, Gladys Watson Casteel, Brothers: Billy, Jimmy, Larry, and Mike Watson and her Step-Father Robert Casteel.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Dewayne and Mandy Galyon of Riceville, grandsons Andrew Galyon of Riceville, Derek Galyon of Sherwood, Arkansas; granddaughter Meredith Wiser of Nashville and sister Bobbie Lingerfelt of Athens.
Funeral services will be 7:30 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Pastor Randall Bates officiating.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, August 18, 2022 at McMinn Memory Gardens.  Active pallbearers will be Andrew Galyon, Derek Galyon, Justin Dexter, Mathew Dexter, Cole Lingerfelt  and Connor Bates.The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.   Those unable to attend may send condolences to www.laycock-hobbs.com/obituaries/Judith-Galyon.
