Kimberly "Kim" Louise Lunsford-Swallows

Kimberly “Kim” Louise Lunsford Swallows, 62, of Athens, transitioned into eternal peace at her sister’s home on June 27, 2024.

A native of McMinn County, where she resided most of her life. Kim was the youngest daughter of the late Hobert M. and Cinderella Robinson Lunsford. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Nicky Lunsford, Darnell Lunsford, Burnadean Lunsford Thurman.

Kim is survived by three children, Kamisha Lunsford, Matthew Swallows, and Jazzmine Swallows; one sister, Cathy Jo Lunsford Yarbrough; one aunt, Rosetta Mowery; 7 grandchildren, Aiden, Andy, Jessa, Kaide, Kash, Stylar-Lynn, and Zahmir; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 6 at Sullins Cemetery on Rocky Mount Road, in Athens at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 6, 2024. Honoring Kim’s love for the mountains, family and friends will gather after the memorial service for a Celebration of life at Hiwassee Outfitters picnic area, 155 Ellis Creek Road, Reliance, TN. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made for funeral expenses at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home.
