Lester Howard Edmonson

LESTER HOWARD EDMONSON, age 70 of Athens, TN passed away June 9, 2024 at his residence. A native and lifelong residence of McMinn County, Lester was the son of the late Luther and Glaydis Coleman Edmonson. He was a faithful member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church #2 in Riceville, TN where he served as a deacon. He loved to hunt and be outdoors and spend time with grandkids. 
He was proceeded in death by three brothers; Johnny, Calvin, and David Edmonson. 
Survivors; 
Wife of 50 years; Robin Edmonson, three Daughters and son in laws; Kim "Dawn" and Jason Collins of Athens, Cindy and Alan Womac of Riceville, and Wendy and John Burkett of Greenville TN, Grandkids; Howie Edmonson, Shadow Collins, Destiny Burkett, Iain Collins, Kadence Collins, Paisley Womac, and Fallon Collins. Sister and Brother in law; Wanda and Bob Roberts of Niota. 
Funeral Services will be 6pm Wednesday June 12, 2024 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Garry King officiating. Interment will follow at Double Springs Cemetery.
