Linda Gail Carroll

Linda “Gail” Carroll passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of July the 8th, 2020.  Born October 31st 1946, in Chattanooga TN, she was a lifelong resident of McMinn County.  She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Reeves, her mother and step-father, Margaret & Paul Aldredge, and her older sister, Brenda Reeves.  Gail is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerry Wayne Carroll, her brother, Keith Aldredge, her children, Shane & Amy Carroll and their children, Logan, Partic & Max Carroll and Nicki & David Haynes and their children, Marjorie Demonbren and Mallory & Manning Haynes and her great grandchildren, Lucy Carroll and Harper McCosh.  Gail Carroll was a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother.  She loved her family with all her heart.  Her husband and her family were the priority of her life and she will be greatly missed.  Gail was a longtime member of Wildwood Baptist Church and will be laid to rest in the Wildwood Cemetery.   A small, family funeral will be held graveside on July 11th, 2020 at noon.  Flowers may be sent to Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home.  Those unable to attend may send condolences to www.laycock-hobbs.com/notices/Linda-Carroll.  Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home in Athens is in charge of the arrangements.
