MART JENNINGS "Bunny" DUGGAN, age 76 of Athens, Tenn. went home to be with the Lord Saturday afternoon, June 13, 2020, while at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. He was a native of McMinn County, Tn. and a son of the late Horace and Mattie Duggan. Mart had been a local minister and
evangelist since he was 14 years old. He preached in over 50 churches in Tennessee, 17 different states, Brazil and Jamica. He pastored 11 churches in Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas. Mart was the former owner of Duggan's Cleaners for 29 years, which his dad started the business in 1944.
Survivors: Wife of 50 years: Wilma Clark Duggan of Athens, Tenn. Three daughters and Sons-in-law: Lisa and Joel Webb of Athens, Tenn., Annette and Douglas Green of Burleson, Texas, Mary Duggan of Athens, Tenn. Two Sons and Daughters-in-law: John and Brittany Duggan of Athens, Tenn., David and Karen Duggan of Ft. Worth, Texas Sister: Lois Duggan of Reston, Va. Brother: William H. C. Duggan of Athens, Tenn., 14 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services 7:00 P. M. Thursday in First Baptist Church of Athens, Tenn. with Dr. Bill Henard and Rev. David Duggan officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Friday in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Rodney Blevins, Richard Zuzart, Brian McKinney, Shad Simms, Jason Wallis, Shayne Whaley, and Matthew Amick. Honorary pallbearers will be Vant Hardaway, George Tuell, Butch Smith, and Tommy Campbell. The family will receive friends from 4-7 Thursday at the church.
