Martha Elizabeth Plemons

MARTHA ELIZABETH PLEMONS, age 90 of Athens, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018, in Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, Tenn.

A native of Meigs County and resident of Athens most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Louis Johnson and Mary Almedia West Wattenbarger. She was of the Baptist Faith. 

Preceded in death by :

• Her husband,  Merrett Emmett Plemons on January 15, 1988
• 3 brothers: Bruce, Claude and Junior.

Survivors:

• 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Wynlyn Kathleen "Kitty" and Bobby Waller of Athens; Patsy and Bobby Hyde of Meigs County
• 1 son: Howard Plemons of Athens
• 1 sister: Mildred Louise Robinson of Athens
• 4 grandchildren
• 9 great-grandchildren
• Several nieces and nephews.
• Her cherished companion, Patty-Cake

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Charla Sherbakoff officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home.
