Mary Ruth Hackler, age 90, of Calhoun went to be with her Lord Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at her residence. A native of Bradley County, and resident most of her life in McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Thomas and Carrie Emma Pruitt Colloms. Mary loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church. She was an excellent Tupperware sales manager, but enjoyed most of all being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anita Jo Norton; grandson, Randall Adam Maddox; siblings, Clyde Lester Colloms, Edgar Thomas Colloms, Jr., Betty Jo Liner, Billy V. Colloms, Edna Lynn Johnson; Three spouses; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Jo Maddox
Survivors include;
Two sons and daughter-in-law; Charles Victor "Butch" Maddox of Calhoun, Randall E. Maddox of Calhoun (Debbie); five grandchildren, Charles Bradley Maddox, Clinton Heath Maddox, Stacey Norton Crisp, Tyler Norton, Randall Aaron Maddox; 16 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; Three siblings, Jeanette Donaldson, Wanda Crittenden, Carl Colloms; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Calhoun Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Maddox officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
