SCOTT MITCHELL FOX, age 30 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, in Athens Regional Medical Center. He was born in Bradley County and a lifelong resident of McMinn County and preceded in death by Papaw: Jerry Wilson and MaMaw: Sue Foxx. He was manager of McDonald #11560 on Hwy 11 in Cleveland, Tenn. He was a member of Clearwater Baptist Church. He was an active volunteer at the Ronald McDonalds House. He was an outdoor enthusiast and avid traveler. He loved to spend time with his friends and family. His number one priority was spoiling his niece and nephews.
Survivors: Father and Mother: Scott and Sherry Fox of Athens, Tenn. Two Sisters: Brittany (Dylan) Lawson of Decatur, Tenn. Ariel (A. J.) Whited of Sweetwater, Tenn., Grandfather: J. C. Foxx of Athens, Tenn., MaMaw: Earla Rowena Holloway (Dan) Saffles of Athens, Tenn., PaPaw and MaMaw : David and Grace Womac of Athens, Tenn. Nephews and Niece: Jaxson Lawson, Brantley Lawson, Wilder Lawson, Atlas Whited, Avie Jo Whited.
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Eaton officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Monday in Short Creek Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Holloway and Rev. Jimmy Holloway officiating. Active pallbearers will be Josh Hyde, Elijah Fox, Trey Roseberry, Cory Howard, Coy Howard, Josh Howard and Andrew Huth . The family will receive friends from 5-7 Sunday in the funeral home.
