NORA GERALDINE INGRAM, age 92 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Dominion Assisted Living. She native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, a daughter of the late Elvon and Winona Powers Dailey, and preceded in death by Husband: Harley J. Ingram, Brother: Henry Ray Dailey, and infant sister. She was a member of McMahan Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors: Two Daughters and sons-in-law: Marquita and Allen Swafford of Athens, Tenn. Nancy and Richard Best; of Sweetwater, Tn. Brother and sister-in-law: Reed and Bonnie Dailey of Athens, Tenn., Brother-in-law: Clyde Ingram and wife Sylvia, Two Sisters-in-law: Aileen Ingram, Emma Lee Derrick, Grandchildren: Kellie Wallace of Athens, Tenn. , Stacy and Rusty Byrd of Kingston, Tn., Rodney Best of Sweetwater, Tn., Chris and Lindsey Best of Lenoir City, Tenn, Seven Great grandchildren: Whitney and Brittany Best, Brodie, Codie and Katie Grayce Wallace, and Austin and Elizabeth Byrd, Great great granddaughter: Jesidiah Best several nieces and nephews .
Funeral services will be 5: 00 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Bates officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 11, 2021 in McMinn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Rodney Best, Chris Best, Whitney Best, Brittany Best, Brodie Wallace and Codie Wallace. The family will receive friends from 3-5 Sunday, January 10 in the funeral home. COVID guidelines will be followed including: Mask requirement, social distance and hand washing. The family would like to thank Dominion Assisted Living and Chattanooga Hospice for their love and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
