Paul Ronald “Ronnie” Lingerfelt went peacefully to his heavenly home on the morning of Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Paul was a proud Army MP veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in Germany. He spent his life in East Tennessee, and was a surveyor for 50 years. Ronnie was named after Ronald Reagan during his acting career in the 1940s. He was an avid Tennessee fan and loved watching his Grandsons play baseball.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Andrew Joshua Lingerfelt, his parents, Paul Jacob Lingerfelt and Ida Francis Malone Lingerfelt, and sister Janice “Janie” H. Lingerfelt McMillian, brother in-law, Jackson J. Glaze.
He is survived in death by his wife, Brenda Jo Glaze Lingerfelt, who celebrated 56 years of marriage. He is also survived by sons (and wives), Christopher Scott (Shannon) Lingerfelt and Justin Lee (Ashton) Lingerfelt; grandchildren and spouses Matthew Garrett (Karson) Lingerfelt, Christopher Jacob (Hayley) Lingerfelt, Ashley Messina; great grandchildren, Andrew Ray and Austyn Elizabeth Lingerfelt; nephew, Keith Ronnie Graham: sisters- in- law and brother in-law, Rita (Jerry) Richesin and Cindy Glaze; special dog, Chewie; life long friends, Glenn (KO) Feezell and Fred Coleman, as well as numerous cousins and other friends.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday in Union McMinn Cemetery, Niota, Tenn. with Jerry "Bubba" Stephens officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery Monday for Graveside services.
