Raymond William Handley

RAYMOND WILLIAM HANDLEY,  age 70 of Englewood, Tenn. passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, Tenn. He was born in  Providence, Rhode Island, former resident of  Cranston, Rhode Island, Hendersonville, North Carolina, Vicksburg, Miss., resident of McMinn County, Tenn. for 12 years.  He was a son of the late Bernard William and Jane Richardson Handley. He retired from  Grand Gulf Nuclear Station in Vicksburg, Miss. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and a member of Ridgewood Golf Course. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict having served in the U. S. Navy.

Survivors include

•  Wife of 45 years: Gwen McGilton Handley of Englewood, Tenn.,
• Two Daughters and Sons-in-law: Heather H. and Robert Klauber of Athens, Tenn., Carrie H. and Matthew Miley of Clinton, Miss.,
• Two Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Peggy and David Franklin of Hendersonville, North Carolina. Janice and Rick  McCarson of  Enterprise, Ala.
• Brother and Sister-in-law: Jeff and Janet Handley of Minehead, England, 
• Six Grandchildren: Kerigan Grace Klauber, Kennedy Rose Klauber, Matilyn Claire Miley, Mattox William Wesley Miley, Merritt Chandley Miley, and Mason Paul Miley, 
• Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 Tuesday at the church.

Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Bernard officiating.

Interment will be in 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in McMinn Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Saturday Morning Golf Buddies.
