Rebecca Ann Martin

REBECCA ANN SYLVESTER MARTIN,  age 49 of Englewood, Tenn. passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, in Ft. Sanders Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn. She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn. and was preceded in death by her Father: David Sylvester, Grandparents who raised her: Claude and Ethel Sylvester, Maternal Grandparents: John and Estalee Burris, Father-in-law: Gerald D. Martin, and   Aunt: Sandra Hooper, She was a former employee of the McMinn County Sheriff Dept. She was a member of Manilla Chapel Church. 
Survivors: Husband of 31 years: Gregory Scott Martin of Englewood, Tenn. Mother: Shirley Smith of Seiverville, Tenn.  Son: Brandon and Amanda Martin  of Etowah, Tenn., Daughter: Emily Martin of Englewood, Tenn., Three Grandchildren, Laken, River, and Gunner Martin, Aunt who was like a Sister: Wanda and Terry  Bowers of Athens, Tenn., Aunts and Uncles: Carolyn and Harley Bowers of Etowah, Tenn , Daryl and Darlene Sylvester of Athens, Tenn. Larry and Jeniffer Sylvester of Etowah, Tenn. Special Aunt: Doris Sylvester of Athens, Tenn., Mother-in-law: Judy Wallis Martin of Niota, Tenn.  Brother-in-law: Jamie Martin of Niota, Tenn.,Half-Sisters: Sharon  and Erron  several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with  Rev.Tim Turner and Rev. Chris Hampton  officiating. Interment will follow in Pond Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be  Terry Bowers, Matthew Bowers, Daryl Sylvester, Nicholas Sylvester, Colton Wallis, and Josh Sylvester.The family will recieve friends from 12-00 to 2:00 P.M.
