Richard Alan Francis

Richard A. Francis age 52 of Cleveland, TN passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland. A native of St. Petersburg, Florida  and a resident of McMinn and Bradley County, he was the son of the late Ronald and Barbara Hughes Francis. He was an active member of First Baptist of Cleveland, and had traveled extensively over the past several years. He was very proud of his trip to Israel, where he was baptized in the Jordan River. He  loved people, and enjoyed working at Cracker Barrel and Aalberts in Cleveland. He had many friends and family at Life Bridges of Cleveland. He was preceded in death by his grand parents, James A. and Elizabeth Hughes and Robert Wood and Viola Francis, and brother-in-law, Robert Roy
Survivors include, Two sister and brother-in-law, Sharon  Roy of Jacksonville N.C., and Sherry and Bedney Lewis of Athens; Three brothers and two sisters-in-law, David and Patti Francis of Cleveland, Wayne Botts of Cleveland, and Arthur and Karen Wilt of Hilton Head S.C.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 7:00 pm Monday, July 24, 2023 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Bill Vest  officiating. The graveside will be 10 am Tueday, July 25, 2023 at McMinn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ric Wilson, Jeff Walker, Chad McKeehan. David Finley, Matthew Freeman, Chad Lingerfelt, and Tim King. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Monday before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Life Bridges of Cleveland 764 Old Chattanooga Pike SW Cleveland ,TN 37311 (423)-472-5268
