Ricky Edward Mason

RICKY EDWARD MASON,  age 61 of Athens, Tenn. went home to be wth The Lord on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens, Tenn., He was a native of Madisonville, Tenn., longtime resident of McMinn County and  a son of the late Willie Mason  and Lorene Carroll. Rick was a supervisor and long time employee of Athens Table Company. He was an exceptional and dependable carpenter and enjoyed helping people with their remolding projects. He attended Mt. Verd Baptist Church. 
Survivors: Brother: David Mason of Athens, Tenn., ,  Sisters and brothers-in-law: Louie (Mas) Mason of Niota, Tenn., Lucy (Teddy) Graves of Athens, Tenn., Pat Randolph of Decatur, Tenn., Bobbye (Mike) Ward of Athens, Tenn., Shirley Wright of Riceville, Tenn, Betty Callahan of Cleveland and Anita (George) Parker of Old Fort, Tenn., nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews  who he loved  dearly and they loved their "Uncle Ricky"
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with  Rev. Donnie Dalton officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in McMinn Memory Gardens. The family will recieve friends from 5-7 Tuesday in the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be Phil Graves, Brian Mason, Nick Ward, Chris Callahan, Adam Osbourne, and George Parker.
