Robert "Bob" Edward Davis

ROBERT EDWARD  "BOB" DAVIS,  age 74 of Decatur, Tenn. passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023 in Sweetwater Hospital. He was born in Athens,  lifelong resident of Meigs County  and preceded in death by his Wife: Brenda Sue Davis and Father: William Edward Davis. He retired from National Guard Reserves  with 39 years 10 months of service and National Guard with 29 years 10 months of service. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors:  Mother: Virginia Irene Perkinson Davis of Decatur, Tenn.; Three sons and daughters-in-law: Mike (Dale) Davis of Canton, Ga., Brad (Nikki) Davis of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Jeremy  (Angela) Davis of Decatur, Tenn. Step-Daughter and son-in-law: Jami (Danny) Vaughn of  Golconda, Ill. Seven Grandchildren: Brooklyn (Christian) Cummins, Victoria Vaughn, Robert, Hunter, and Brenna Davis, Olivia Davis, and Grace Davis, Three Great Grandchildren: Carlynn, Caden, and Crislynn Cummins. 
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 21. 2023 in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Dunn officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Decatur, TN. Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Davis, Mike Davis, Brad Davis, Danny Vaughn, Christian Cummins, Robbie Davis, Hunter Davis, and Sammy Perkinson.
