Sandy June Mason

SANDY J. MASON, age 66 of Athens, Tenn. won her battle with cancer and entered into the presence of Jesus  Saturday, July 20, 2019, at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn., a daughter of the late Azel H. and Lucille Hampton Torbett and preceded in death by Sister: Brenda Young. She retired from Athens Regional Medical Center having worked in the Medical Records Dept. She was a member of Marshall Hill Baptist Church. 
Survivors include:

• Her husband of 48 years: Joe Mason of Athens, Tn,
• Two Sons and Daughters-in-law: Casey and Audrey Mason of Athens, Tn., Heath and Tracie Mason of Dunlap, Tn. 
• Four Sisters and Brothers-in-law:  Charlotte Rule of Etowah, Tn., Yulonda and Doyle Cain of Athens, Tn., Jan and Johnny Hawn of Etowah, Tn., Brenda Stephens of Niota, Tn.,
• Brother: Scott Torbett of Englewood, Tn., 
• Eight  Grandchildren: Christian and wife Jade Mason, Alyssa Sampson, Andrew Sampson, Bryce Mason, Sidney Dennis, Jesyca Dennis, Chloe Mason and DiMaggio Mason Two Great Grandchildren: Juliana Mason, Elijah Camargo,
• Her fur babies: Izzy and Chubbs,
• Several nieces and nephews that she loved so much.

All family and friends are invited to the graveside service that will be 12:00 Noon Thursday, July 25, 2019 in McMinn Memory Gardens with Pastor Gary Watson officiating. 

There will be no formal visitation on Wednesday. 

Pallbearers will be J.C. Mason, Greg Mason, Bryce Mason, Philip Pryor, Drew Hawn and Andrew Sampson. Honorary Pallbearer will be Chrisitian Mason.
