Thomas Karl McKeehan

THOMAS KARL " Ski-Daddy"  McKEEHAN,  age 79 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, in Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens, Tenn. He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn, a son of the late John Henry and Effie Inez Davis McKeehan, and preceded in death by Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Alfred and Martha McKeehan, Jim McKeehan, Donald and Lynn McKeehan, and John Ray McKeehan. He retired from Bowater Paper Mill  where he was always pulling pranks and was a big Jokester after 33 years of Service  and was a member of West View Baptist Church having joinied in  1966. 
Survivors: Wife of 58 years: Shirley Watson McKeehan of Athens, Tenn., Daughter and son-in-law: Sherrie McKeehan (Russell) Hammonds of Athens, Tenn., Son and daughter-in-law: Thomas Scott (Carrie) McKeehan of Athens, Tenn, Seven Grandchildren and spouses: Thomas (Brittany) McKeehan,  John (Brittany) McKeehan, Alley (Samuel) Morgan, Sherilyn Hammonds, Henry Hammonds, Karli Rose Hammonds  (Ross) Stephens, and Samuel Hammonds, 10 Great Grandchilren, Brothers and sisters-in-law: Dean McKeehan, Miriam McKeehan, Carol and Glen Reynolds, several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services will be held 1:00  P.M. Tuesday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Whited officiating. Interment will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Thomas McKeehan, John McKeehan, Henry Hammonds, Sam Hammonds, Shawn McKeehan, Chad McKeehan, Jimmy McKeehan, and Kent Bridges. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Kelsey and J. C. Foxx.  The family will recieve friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home.
