Trula Mae Patterson

Trula Mae Davis Patterson (Nana), age 82 of Athens, passed away, Saturday, February 1, 2025. A native of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Vesta Rowland Davis. She was an active member and pianist for Brookhill Baptist, Wildwood Baptist and currently a member of Sanford Baptist. She was a mother and Nana to many, and loved by all. She was preceded in death by her husband H.R. "Ray" Patterson February 6, 2020, sister Juanita Davis and brothers Harold Davis, Ralph Davis Boyd Davis . 

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Ray Adcox of Athens; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Jennifer Patterson of Riceville; grandchildren (honorary pallbearers) Megan and John Wayne Irwin of Decatur, Matthew and Stacy Bates of Gaffney SC, Whittney and Gerardo Frank of Cleveland, TN, Josh Patterson and Cassidy Balkon of Etowah; great grandchildren, Connleigh, Annie- Mae, Enoch, Foree Jayne Irwin, Mackinzey and Aubrey Bates, Luca and Leo Frank; Four brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen and Linda Davis of Cleveland, TN, Jim and Bobbie Davis of Clemson, SC, Tommy and Gayle Davis of Athens, and Gene Davis of Athens; sister-in-law, Wilma Davis of Athens; Three sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Joe Pardue of Cleveland, Betty Torbett of Athens, Ruth and Sherman Patterson of Farragut, TN; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 12 00 pm Tuesday, February 4, 2025 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Stan Cantrell, and Rev Dennis Cagle officiating. The interment will be at McMinn Memory Gardens immediately following the service. Pallbearers will be Keith Davis, Jeffrey Shaw, Taylor Shaw, Britt Shaw, Heath Shaw and Hunter Shaw.The family will receive friends from 10 am-12 pm Tuesday before the service.
