William Donald Bennett

William Donald Bennett passed away Monday,12/31/18 at home surrounded by family.

Bill is survived by:

• His wife Mary Catherine Bennett;
• Sons, William(Bill) D. Bennett,II,(Tracie), Ben E. Bennett (Katie), and Michael (Bo)Thomas Bennett;
• Step Childrern; Cherie Maurer (George), Cindy Hennings(Johnny), Brett Wilkes (Irina);
• Grandchildren; Will Bennett, Lauren Tanner, Nick Bennett, Hunter Satterfield, Allie Bennett, Britton Cole, Megan Maurer, Jessica Maurer, Lexi Maurer, Elijah Maurer, Belen Wilkes, Noah Wilkes;
• Great-grandsons, Owen Bennett, Ronan Cole;
• Siblings, Carolyn (David ) Wells, Tom(Paula) Bennett, Connie (Steve) Luce.

Bill was a business executive until 2000 when he retired. He and Mary started Southern Elegance Antiques in Athens. They also spent many years together raising and showing racking and walking horses.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 5, 2019, beginning at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Niota.

The service will follow at 3:00 pm.

Interment will be in Niota Cemetery immediately following the service

Pallbearers will be Will Bennett, Nick Bennett, Hunter Satterfield, Elijah Maurer, Brett Wilkes and David Wood.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne Benson, David Wells, Hugh Murphy, Roger McCoullough, Steve Norwood, Dennis Caldwell, Whitey Cagle and Dean Sewell.

Bill and Mary are faithful supporters of Women at the Well, A Voice for the Children of Haiti and several missionaries.
